I may be a coward, but I think they're kind of scary now.

I am referencing the young players in their system and on their team. not the value of their contracts. Do you think anyone believes he will sign for 1 year either? I certainly hope not.

I agree! But once they add Byram, Newhook, and Timmins to the lineup along with experience under Girard and Makar's belts it will be pretty crazy

Names are good, individually but it's all about how the team plays together, overall. Just look at NYI, they don't have any top25 D and no big names but it is how they play that counts.

COL will probably have a top10 D if not top5 but I would wait for it, first

Nothing is ever set in stone to definitely happen by no means. But the potential is absolutely there.

This is true, of course. I'm a Ranger fan and very excited about all their great prospects. But who knows which will make it big and which will bust. Still, its August and nothing is happening so let's dream big.

Makar Girard And Byram can make you change your mind as earlier as the start of the 2020-21 season

Makar is special already, Girard is solid already, and byram as much as a lock can’t miss draft pick last year, so if you think there’s a chance they won’t be good, I think it’s so marginal, those 3 will be a force for a decade in the west

Right....Makar Timmins who were WJC partners, Makar and Girard who were the top pair last year in the playoffs, Timmins was with the Avs all last season, practicing with guys like Zads and Meloche either in the NHL or AHL. YOu are right there is no possible way that an org that has built an impressive pipeline of Dmen, all with variarting skills sets that actually compliment one another and who stress development....no possible way they could actually be good together

You are right and the majority of prospect and development guys are wrong, tear the Avs D pipeline apart, they just did it wrong

Follow along, i said avs will have makar Girard byram changing his mind by 2021 then this sour puss kept on responding In they don’t have anyone else, which I respond they do have solid complimentary depth dmen coming up to play with their big 3...yet his response they don’t have chemistry

Which is why I wrote that avs actually have built someone very special yet his response is I can’t wait till they lose a guy In the expansion draft

He’s just a Debbie downer without any knowledge of the players in question

I'd say the Avs do the old send a pick thing to keep Zads at the expansion and lose Cole instead or maybe one of the lesser forwards. I would agree there are no guarantees on anything, but it does look like it will be super special. Coga you missed out Graves (who is on LTIR here) who looked really good in the small window last season. I think he is definitely worth being put on there for the 4th LD. Or he could replace Zads if he's lost at expansion.
