Description

Amazing how trades proposed here gain popularity. Lately it is McGinn for Pulju that I see a lot from Carolina fans. At this point I think it would be a prudent move if Car likes Pulju's fit as a cheap redemption project. Yes McGinn adds to the Oilers crop of middling wingers, but imo he is more capable of moving up the lineup than almost any of the new Oiler wingers. Manning added simply to even out this years cap on the trade (1 mil in the AHL). A 6th added to comp for his suckiness though. Sheahan based on Brassard's deal at this point where UFA's are a little worried (a little higher simply due to age).

Since when McDavid has been such a sniper though? 47 goals per year would most likely place him in TOP5 of the league...

Dude has had 2 straight years of 41 goals and I wouldn't say he's plateaued at 22...Crosby never had more than 40 goals and then had 51 all of a sudden in his 5th season. So maybe he ups his totals maybe not, but I think if Neal seems like an actual one time/hashmarks option finally teams may worry about that, and Connor adds 6 more by just walking them in close.

I think that is plausible, especially since Neal is the first RH winger with a decent shot McDavid has ever really had on his line. Neal just has to set up right, speed won't really matter for him. Just trail behind Drai and McD into the zone.

But if Neal gets 25 goals McD likely gets the highest assists total of his career imo or at least matches last year's total.

Perhaps. However I'm not sure McDavid is in line for decline as much as some other players (Drai and Kucherov should both see a 10-15 point drop).
