Different story, if Marner is given an offer sheet, which I would think Toronto would match. Maybe not. Five draft picks maybe enough to let Marner go. Expensive for Jersey I think. Pretty much nothing has been confirmed and reporting in sports now a days is just speculating on opinions that fans have. Its all a big joke. For all we know, nothing has been leaked, there is no hard feelings and currently both sides are getting very close on a final contract idea. Or something else entirely could be happening. I have not idea, nor do I really care at this point. Having opinions on the internet is just a great way to give for overly emotional people an opportunity to call you an idiot for opening your mouth.

But if I signed marner on an agm for 3m x 8 yrs I’m sure you would say no way... to which I reply “I’m asking for real proof” that he has declined that offer.
