Except, Anaheim rejects and you're still stuck in cap hell. Holtby shouldn't be resigned, but he probably will. Just FYI, no one is taking that Oshie contract

Caps can't and won't re-sign Holtby. Samsonov is the future. He'll be better than Holtby.

I think this post shows just how infeasible signing Holtby is. The amount of moves that'd have to be made shows that there are too many moving parts, and this team is worse than this season's roster.
