I actually think it’s a decent trade.
Laine > svech
But
Pesce>First round pick

Laine had a bad year but if 30 goals is a career low I’ll take that 10 times out of 10 lol. He’s gonna be a perennial 40 goal guy in his prime.

Wow we agree on something again!! Someone must be really wrong if me and Sebby agree.

Both that one was a easy one ahah. I mean a look at all trade proposals and a lot off them are completely disrespectful for laine and the jets. The list of players that have score 100 goal by 21 years old isnt that long

It’s actually not even close according to evolving hockey. Svechnikov is way better than Laine right now.

Svechnikov MAY be better then Laine one day but not as of now. You've shown only 1 metric where you think Svech is better...sorry but that doesn't cut it. You're also comparing Laine, in his worst pro season this past year, and yet he still demolished Svech in every other metric. Compare Laine's first pro season to Svech...it's not even close there either. Case closed...only a homer would disagree with this.

Svech is better.

Maybe these other guys are factoring in Fortnite skills and that is what gives Laine the edge.

Your not helping your case right now! You should stop. Jesus even andrei svechnikov would agree that he’s not even close to laine

Svech is better.

I like analytics but they don’t tell the whole story. Laine is a goal scoring machine who had a “slump” year of 30 goals at the age of 21. He will be one of the best goal scorers in the show.

Half of Laine’s goals were on the PP. Not one of Svechnikov’s 20 were on the PP. Laine has a “down” year because he didn’t produce at 5 on 5 consistently. I don’t disagree that Laine is going to be a great goal scorer but if Svechnikov drives play better that’s the guy I’d want.

That being said it was one season and I’m not as far “Svech is better” as some of the others here. But it is closer because one seems to be one dimensional so far in his career.

Agreed CAR isn't trading Svechnikov

Lol. I highly doubt svechnikov will be a perrenial 45+ goal scorer. Maybe 40 a few times in his career and 1 50g season but he will never be as good as laine

Agreed they need to add more than that.

In ur dreams. Laine > svechnikov. Add in pesce for a 2nd and a b prospect. Laine vs svechnikov isn’t even close. In a down year Laine produced more and my bet is that svechnikov never scores more than Laine. Laine is generational and svechnikov ain’t. Not even close
