Tkachuk would be starting point imo. Id say Tkachuk+Batherson+2022 1st for Marner is realistic enough.

Leafs are kinda in a "win" mode, so they probably wouldn't trade for futures. Actually Tzachuk for Marner might be fair and about the best deal the Leafs could get. There is about 9m difference in the for two years. Leafs take that 9m to solidify their defence....will be a better team for two years.

If Marner ends up getting moved I bet alot of us will be surprised on what we get for him. I don't think his value across the league is anywhere near to what his camp and the media are pushing.

Yea, the "Eugene" probably means the Sens would like to trade equal money to the Leafs. And the Sens don't really have players that make a fit for the Leafs.
Marner is a tough trade. In most cases, the Leafs would have to take back equal money. And the other teams are probably as frustrated with the Marner negotiations as the Leafs are. They don't want to overpay for him either. Actually Marner's perceived "arrogance" just might make him a guy teams don't even want to trade for....and least right now.

I think that's really the danger with the tactics that his camp is using. Marner just might price himself outta hockey.. cause I'm not sure if anyone thinks he's really worth what his camp is pushing. My guess is that he'll bend on his demands, if not break.
