Wow this is bad buffalo just got alot worse. That offense is just bad. So basically risto, reinhart and first for Poink and Werenski. You do realize we have to many dman and you just added 2 more. We dont need Werenski we have Dahlin, McCabe and pilut. We certaintly dont need Poink because we have Jokiharju and borgen. What we need is forwards and you trade one of our best.

You seriously have to ask? DET retains salary on an IR/LTIR player and gives up a 2nd for a terrible D man they have no use for?

Because we just got way worse up front. Reino is a more complete player and is worth more to the sabres than Laine is. Makes no sense to make the first trade.

Another Tim Murray impersonator. Willing to overpay big time for Laine. Reinhart is better all around player and keeps getting better. Laine is a 1 trick pony.

I'll concede that a 2 may be ambitous. Saving 6M+ cap over 2 seasons --- IR/LTIR or otherwise --- for a serviceable D for a year doesnt appeal to yzerman? when Kronner just hung em up?

They replaced Kronwall on July 1st and DET doesn't need cap savings...

ZW will give you offense but if he gives you 40 and Pilut can give you 20-30 that isnt bigg enough jump to make up for reinharts 60. Also mittle will not even get 40 points if he doesnt have elite winger like reinhart on his wing.
On the cap space I am fine letting all the UFAs walk next year we have enough you guys ready to step up and take their spots. Most shouldnt even make the team this year. Sabres have 40 million in cap to sign, Reinhart 8x8, Mittle bridge deal 2x3, Olfsson bridge 3x3, Montour 8 x 7.5, Thompson bridge 2x2, pilut bridge 3 x2.5, ullmark 2x 2, Erod 4 x3.
Then asplund, Cozens, Borgen, Ruustolain, Smith, UPL, Pekjar. All could stepup and play with big club next year. Also sabres will lose a player to Seattle. Sabres do not need to worry about the cap.

Wat are you talking about sabres the complete opposite our defense is stacked we have to many and we need two top 6 forwards and after this debacle we still have to many dman and missing 3 top 6 forwards. Our teams is a lot weaker and defense is not much better.
