actually i think thats probably the best opportunity for both winnipeg and columbus to fill there needs but i would try to shape the deal different to not include wennberg just yet.

Wennberg is a must because Winnipeg needs a centre

I think that's a pretty interesting deal. I think Wenneberg can still bounce back if he gets out from under Torts, and putting him with Connor and Ehlers could be pretty sick.

Also Ehlers and Wenneberg together makes for one handsome line.

I agree that they need the centre depth but in this situation I think columbus would be paying too steep

Really? I think that's a terrible deal for the jets. Wennberg, IMO, has little to no value after a terrible season and a long term contract at almost 5 mill.
Laine and Werenski are tough to compare due to their positions, but I still think the NHL values goal scoring over defense.

first lets start with kulikov. he has 1 year on his deal but minnesota isnt taking him for just a 2 round swap. its either a 2nd for a 6th/7th in return or at the very least a 3rd+ with no very little to no return. second, i think this deal gets tricky where werenski is now signed to a 5m aav and laine thinks he can get 8-9+. now we factor in value, and Jets are getting the better package. wennbergs stock can really only go up at his point. you never want to sell low on a young player.
