Switch Roy for Merkley just so Winnipeg can have an internal collapse with Wheeler, Laine and Merkley on the same team

Still not a fan of this for WPG. Jets need immediate impact on D now.

I just don’t see them making this trade. I’m a huge Ehlers fan, so is Chevy. I don’t see him being traded before laine.

It could certainly interest winnipeg. But i do think that winnipeg would be looking at a roster players instead of two prospects. Its already hard to replace ehlers.

Would adding Dillon over Roy provide that immediate D impact or would that not be enough ?

Merkley is practically untouchable as of right now
He’s pretty much our only A+ prospect, we don’t have much defense other than Ferraro and possibly Knyazev and Roy if he stays healthy

In relation to what everyone’s commented would this work

Chmelevski
Dillon
Dahlén
1st

Does that make more sense, immediate impact, 1 great prospect and Dahlén could either be good or bust this year

Adding dillon and keeping roy. I a perfect trade winnipeg would acquire a young defenseman that as 2 years left then become ufa so they would have to protect him over seattle. Trading players with the expansion draft coming up is a real puzzle

You can include Merkley or Chmevelski, not both. Merkley will not be an add on

Yah thats true, Simek is the perfect partner for Burns so I do not see us moving him anytime soon although he fits that description pretty well
