Shouldn't Point be higher up on the list?

Probably. Keep in mind florida state tax + he has shorter term than anyone else in the 8M+ range on this list.

MR gets more at 8 years, more like $9.5M to $10.5M.

Marner should be around $10.5M for 7 alternatively around $9.5M on a bridge.

Connor gets slightly more on a bridge

Laine is about accurate but maybe 5 years.

Point is close maybe slightly more on a bridge given the tax advantage of Florida

Of course all my opinion on fair value which is dependent on a lot of things not just points.

So you're saying that they're all close / only slightly off except for Rantanen?

Rantanen, Marner are both off by over $500k.

I didn't account for contract length. Obviously the teams would want to sign these players as long of a contract as they can so by taking less years it brings the dollar amount down.

I know RFAs expect raises, but that's a really big payday there, for Honka. smile

Yesterday I would say you were close, but today after hearing that Marner turned down 11 mill AAV for 7-8 years in June I have to think it's gonna be higher for nearly everyone.
I guess the real sticking point isnt $$ but term? I think most of these guys want to get to UFA status quicker so they want 5 year deals, where teams want bridge or long term deals
Be prepared to see fringe NHLers play in the league this year
