Tack on 1st round pick in the return for Marner there and I admit I would be looking twice if I were Dubas at this point

I'd probably ask for a player over a pick (dman specifically) but yeah I'd be seriously considering this at this point

Don't think the Jets have an interest in a 10m X 3 contract for Marner. It would force a trade of Laine too.

Marner is the Antonio brown of the NHL except for that he's not even top 5 at his position. just let this man go. Anything you get in return for him will be more valuable than him making 11+

Seems like a bit of an exaggeration. It could just be that his agent is terrible

Those whispering in his ear are absolutely giving him bad info, but we cannot just give him a pass. He has the power to stop this circus (and I mean the extra ****, not even signing a contract) and he has chosen not to.

Sure but I feel like the Antonio Brown comparison is too big a stretch at this point

I mean, if by ab they mean the NHL's watered down contract equivalent I'm sympathetic to the term, but the ab **** is even more of a circus.
