    at that point, i think toronto lets marner go. 2 years of marner or 4 years of 1st rounders... thats pretty easy to take the 4 firsts

    Salary can't be structured like that but it could be something like 7.33333 in year 1 and 14.66666 in year 2...I think.

    if you want to annoy the leafs, a two year deal at a dollar less than it would take to get four first round picks, back loaded to the max amount.

    Not gonna lie, the leafs would be crazy to not let him go at that point. Especially when the picks are unprotected and the hawks could potentially spend some more years outside the playoffs still.

    The trade description specifies that I would like any possible team to do this, not just the hawks.

    even the tampa... 4 firsts is still 4 firsts no matter how you slice it. Toronto should 100% take that if it happens.
