I love Djoos but I love the idea of bringing in an offensive RHD. Issue is, he asked for a trade because he was always scratched, don't know if we can give him a better option here.

once they're forced to let go of Gudas next year he will have plenty of opportunity.

For sure, but is he willing to wait another year to really get a chance? Also, what the hell do we do with all of our young guys that will need playing time next season (Fehervary, Alexeyev, Johansen) lol I guess it's a good problem to have.

aren't those guys all left handed? I see them trading Orlov to get cap space back.

Yeah they are all left handed. My guess Kempny and Djoos are moved next season.

Trading for Honka's rights keeps Boyd off waivers. Signing Honka could lead to waiver problems, though, so probably wait on that until cap space and playing time open up. Then it's not an issue, whether to play him? Dallas fans so far haven't really weighed in on Boyd for Honka, and some other teams are way overbidding, on Honka, as if he's totally, definitely not a bust. Which is still to be seen.

If it's not about cap space, DJoos plays right side, and has outscored Honka by points/game at most comparable levels, after they got drafted, and won a Cup. And finished last year with seven even strength points in his last 18 games, on pace for 31. So he very well could be the most valuable of the guys shuffled around, there.

Boyd is also better than Ehn at offense, but Ehn is a bunch younger, with time to catch up. Detroit fans are sharply divded on whether to break up the Burt Ehn Erne line.

If these moves happen, the Caps are still slightly over the cap, after having given up two good players for prospects, to get under the cap. It's almost there.... but the team is also one random training camp injury away from not having to make any more moves.

Hell yes let's go, Honka is basically a better and likely cheaper Djoos and Ehn is just fine, all that needs done is demoting Stevie and calling up a cheaper and (by default) better player from Hershey

Ehn for Djoos straight up works but Detroit isn't going to give up a pick as well.
