Wow you overpaid Connor, he’s in the 7x7 range, even for 8 years it would be more like 7.75. Also if we traded Laine for Pietrangelo with extension, no need to trade for ristolainen. Having him will just create a log jam next summer when Samberg and heinola are ready to be with the team.

And this is also ignoring that St. Louis is tight against the cap, so unless Laine takes the same as what Pietrangelo is currently making, they're over the cap this season and they'll struggle to get under the cap next year when Faulk's extension kicks in and they need to extend or replace Schenn.

Pietrangelo for Laine is a joke, The dude is like 30 years old. Like Csick said Parayko makes far more sense for Laine then Pietrangelo does.
