Of note: the "likely scenario" is not this specific trade, but the thought of them moving Raanta (if not in this month, then before/at the TDL)

It does make sense for Columbus to trade for Raanta (if he's healthy, and maybe korpi is struggling)

I don't think Kuempers contract was an indication that they were trading Raanta.

I think Columbus is content with staying the course right now, and if Korpisalo and Merzlinkins struggle they’ll probably just stay the course and take the lottery pick, maybe go for a Holtby or someone like that in FA next summer.

NYI would be an interesting team that would likely make a move if Varlamov and Greiss struggle even if Raanta doesn’t come with an extension. I could also see Carolina trading for him if their goalie situation worsens.

They’re in more of a win now situation then Columbus is.

Fair enough, because the idea of Bjorkstrand being traded for goaltending at all - let alone him with an add - is completely absurd.
