Edmonton could have snagged Ho-Sang for free off waivers if they wanted him. Puljujarvi doesn't affect Edmonton's cap hit, so there's no reason for the Oilers to give up an asset for him.

true but a lot of teams are hesitant to pick guys off waivers around this time if they're near the contract limit. I don't know that this is the issue here but it's possible

When did 3rd line players become such prima donnas? I know they were both 1st round picks but at some point you have to start judging them on their play and not draft position.
