EDM trade
- overpayment for Nuge, especially if he walks at the end of his two years. Losing Risto and Sheary? Yeah okay. Mittelstadt has yet to develop and he's under RFA control for how many more years?
DET trade
- I don't know if Detroit wants to give up a roster spot to Zemgus or Okposo when they have a lot of youth they'd want to develop in this rebuild phase.
NJD trade
- Easy yes for NJ, that would give them a top 6 of Subban, Severson, Greene, Butcher, Vatanen and Scandella. That is not too shabby.

Detroit currently has 10 players signed for next season and they have 13 RFAs and 8 UFAs with contracts expiring at the end of the season and somewhere between $36M to $39.5M depending on next years cap. So Mantha and AA are probably going around $7M each, Bertuzzi around $5M that leaves $17M - $20.5M for 10 more players. Okposo is only $1.75M more than Abdelkader but Detroit is going to need every bit of cap they have. So I just can't see Detroit accepting his trade.
