Specifically, would Blues fans do it?

Would Leafs' fans do it?

I am more curious of value, and the fact that the Leafs are dying for defense where Matthews, as elite as he is offensively, may never offer that back-check, or 200-foot game, a true start two-way centre should be doing (aka a young Jonathan Toews).

With news breaking that Tarasenko will out for, minimum, the next 5 months, does that change any of your positions on this potential deal, @MadLin27, @Copenhagen, @TheresAlwaysNextYear, @Tchuckycheese, @Isles777, @STLBlues17?

My assumption here is that, more than anything else, and either by committee, call-up, or trade, the Blues will need to find some way to replace Tarasenko's goal production.

I think this is a now vs the future kind of deal. Personally, I think the Leafs would come out on top with this trade for the next 2-3 years. I'd say the leafs would be a better more well-rounded team with Tavares and ROR down the middle with Parayko on D than with Matthews now...and Ceci lol But a few years down the road when ROR's style of play and age catches up to him, the Blues will be the obvious winners with a Matthews still in his prime.
