Description
Hawks will sell Gus at the TDL and sell Smith, Maatta and Koekko in offseason and let some of the young guys step up. Boqvist is a lock, Mitchell might make the team...he's looking great so far in Denver.

Up front will be interesting as I expect the guys today stay pretty much the same. Lines 2 and 3 really are a 2(a) and 2(b). This should provide a very solid 4 lines up front. Others that could make the team namely are Kurashev, Entwhistle, Wedin, Sikura, but my guess given Kurashev, Entwhistle and Barrat (3) have multiple years left on their ELCs, they let them grow leaving all eyes on Wedin and Sikura.

AND what if.....THE HAWKS WIN THE LOTTERY!

in reference to your last line of the desc, everyone responds AGAIN? Lafreniere would be a great addition to our young forward core, but it would be strange if we got the number 2 pick and drafted Byfield, who is a lot like Dach.

Could always trade down but believe Lucas Raymond might be #2 in the draft

Draft Byfield then Trade Dach for Byram and make the universe right. Lol

Can I like this suggestion twice?? Haha

Also, devil’s advocate, I’ve actually heard from avalanche fans that there’s a a possibility they might try to trade byram to obtain Taylor hall. Obviously he’d be one of a few pieces, but hey, if they were willing to play ball, dach for byram all day!!!

You think CBJ would trade Seth Jones?

You draft best available. Hands down. It'll be Byfield because he's crushing it. It's literally the best problem an NHL team can have. Wingers are easier to get. It'll also allow guys like @HatterTParty and @ChiHawk to say...SEE I told you Dach was a #3C! Just joking around guys! I enjoy our conversations. Wouldn't that be the most ironic thing in the world? Trade Schmaltz because he's more of a winger and not a Center and then the very next (2) drafts...you go Center - Center with the #3OA and #2OA. Can't make that $hit up. Would LOVE to win the lottery again though! New Jersey and Edmonton have won in multiple times. It's just how the ball bounces some times. As an organization you need #1 and #2 centerman more than anything. This will set them up for the next 10 years easy. Heck It'll likely be Toews as the #3C and he'll focus on shutdown play. I'd love to see him go back to the power center roll. I think it suits him better anyway.
