There's talk of a 1st and a prospect. I don't necessarily think he's worth that, but he's white hit this year, and he's already a player that Hockey Guys cream their Jeans over.

AGMs over the offseason included Pageau being moved for third round picks. He's rebounded and deserves more, but he still is a rental. At the TDL, I cannot see him going for much more than a 2nd and a low pick or a bottom six roster player.

Ya let’s throw away 5 years of consistent 14g 30pt per 82g production and place his trade value based on a 10 game hot streak...said no GM ever. Fans overreact to small sample sizes. Sane people don’t.

He has the kind of value MoJo or Dzingel had last year. You got more than you should have for Zinger based on what everyone else went for. And kudos for it.

But he will come back to reality and his trade value will be 2nd and mid. Does not mean you won’t find someone desperate enough to give you more. Will be a mistake if they do though.

Saving grace is this years market will not be saturated like last year. Supply and demand will be in your favor.

Look I agree with you in theory. Giving up a 1st for a non impact player is bad asset management. That said you're putting way to much faith in NHL GMs.

There's still so much time between now and the deadline, but as it stands, what we've heard from credible sources is that the asking price could be as high as a 1st and a prospect.

"A prospect" doesn't mean a top prospect. Also a late 1st +a B/C prospect doesn't equal Brannstrom + a 2nd. Brannstrom is a great prospect.

Also sens fans have earned this 100%.

Earned the right to fleece teams?

You have a ? owner. No question.

The team deserves better than playing to 75% capacity....in Canada. Even if it has a ? owner. Just as much to blame. Fans don’t show why should ? owner spend $?

https://twitter.com/frank_seravalli/status/1192642121431502848?s=21 <- People are saying 1st+prospect. He leads the league in +/- despite being on Ottawa. He also is a great PK

I dont think he will get a 1st, but "3rd at best" is patently incorrect.

Pageau+Ennis+2 late picks is perfectly fine for a 25-31stOA 1st round + a guy who just might make the NHL
