I'd do this trade in a heartbeat. Anderson brings a physical element that our team can use, sure he's not playing great right now but he'd be a buy-low candidate and Savard is underrated IMO. I like Johnsson but I'd make this move all-day.

Okay so I don't want to rain on yours (and everyone else's) parade here but specifically about Anderson...he has not been good this season so far.

I had him on my fantasy team at the beginning of the season and eventually dropped him because the numbers just aren't there. I'd have to think abit about him specifically.

Anderson has been a **** this year, that should have impact on his value.

I get it but like @BCAPP said also that's why he's a buy low player.

Your right but Columbus doesn't need Ceci and Savard is a nice upgrade on him which helps balance out the value IMO.

Thing with Savard is, is 1 year of worth 3 of Johnsson's?
Gotta think no.

Me too but the more I think about it the more I prefer Johnsson. In @BCAPP OP he had Kap but a CBJ fan said he would rather have Johnsson and like I said I'm starting to agree. We have Mik and Hyman on the left side already and we could put Engvall there too. Plus we could trade Kap for Georgiev or build a package around Bracco and picks for him. Thoughts?....

And that's the other thing to think about.
@BCAPP I understand the buying low idea...I just don't like trading a that plays on the top line. Maybe having watched every Leafs game I trust what Johnsson does more than what Anderson would do.

It's more like Anderson and Savard for Johnsson IMO. Ceci won't be brought back and Savard gives us a cost-controlled RHD for next year so we don't have to overpay in FA. It's similar to the Muzzin trade in that we get 1.5 years of control.

What about putting Mik there or even Moore? AM can make a ham sandwich a 30 goal scorer lol.

Hyman, dont see him staying a Leaf beyond his current deal.
Likely even traded.

Mikheyev, I like him.
Might be a good option in the top6 and the likely replacement for Hyman when the team is healthy.

Engvall is bottom 6 FW, and that is where we need him.

Kapanen, I feel is the best one is the best one to help net a backup G+ OR a D+.
Obviously wont be Kapanen alone either.

I feel using him to acquire a D is the better way to go.

Gotta give to get. Savard could be a piece we really need. And we get Anderson as a buy low shot to be what we need (toughness in the top 6). There is a good chance he never becomes that given how this season is going, but there is a chance so I think it's worth the gamble.

I suppose I can be talked into putting Mik or Moore there. It also depends on how much you believe Anderson can turn the season around.

Just realized Anderson is an RFA.
Not worried on how much he gets???

I think we can get a decent D via free agency for 4 million next off season.

Sure but you gotta see what other teams want. If it's kapanen, great. If it's Johnsson then you make it work by not trading Hyman

If we're concerned about what he gets that means he's rebounded and it's a good thing.

In regards to your statement about D there are only so many options and because there are so few they'll likely cost

Hamonic is an option but I suspect he stays in the prairies as all of Calgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton would be happy with him and he has been reported to have requested a trade to the prairies before

Bodie could work, but isn't anything special.

Barrie as we see doesn't really make sense and will cost more

Krug will cost more.

DeMelo, TVR and the like could be interesting at 2ish million but that means we sign Holl and Dermott could cover the top Rd.

Who is this 4 mil Rd you are happy playing with Rielly?

Agreed, but what about Mikheyev and Moore on LW in the top six and Engvall on the 3rd line LW? I'm fine with sending Kap and I get your point but if CBJ would rather have Johnsson that's not a deal-breaker for me. What about Bracco and a 2nd or 3rd for Georgiev and trade Kapanen for a cheap RHD and bring up Korshkov next year?

Truthfully, I wanna flip Kapanen+ for the D to pair with Rielly if Hamonic doesnt join us.
I am in love with Ducks trade though, would love Ducks to throw in towel and a accept that trade.

Would you slightly overpay to get it done???

I dont have issue with Holl returning, he has played well and earned it.

Barrie and Krug will be too money.

Thoughts on Schultz? Do you think gets too much as well?

Any change on your position in Gudas?
