Lines once healthy NAS and MIN

Created by: OldmanWebber
Team: 2019-20 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 30, 2019
Published: Dec. 8, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Kotkaniemi is not ready for full time duty in the NHL, he needs some time in the AHL. If healthy lend him to the Finish World Junior team then finish the season in Laval.

Turris is a very serviceable player that is not needed in Nashville. His time remaining on his contract and his age makes him hard to move and may allow Montreal to move Alzner in the deal with some retained salary both ways.

Brodin will fix the Left side of the Habs defence but will come at a cost.

1. Doubt MTL would want to retain on Alzner
2. KK should just play 4th line or something. Besides, he's hurt

Understandable since the deal heavily favors the Wild...

How are any of these trades in benefit of Montreal? Both trades are massive losses for Montreal. You have to remember we don't have Kyle Dubas making our trades grin

Cool. I get it the first trade is heavily in Wild favor, but Evans might make it to the NHL and Kulak is ok but he is a LD who isn't as good as Brodin and only a little bit younger. Now Brodin would fill a need for Habs and Poehling would fill a need for the Wild. So how would you ideally make this work.

What need does Brodin fill? I wouldn't say he's better than Mete or Chiarot. We are trading Poehling for an upgrade on the 3rd pairing. Pretty terrible if you ask me.

So the Habs defense is good, and Mete and Chiarot are better than Brodin.
I see we have nothing more to talk about, have a good night.

No. The Habs defense is not good, but Brodin isn't an option to upgrade it. If you don't see that, this conversation is done.
