Columbus declines. This is awful for both teams. Jones and PLD aren’t for sale and that Matthews contract doesn’t work with Columbus.

Trade Matthews where he wants to go... Arizona.

Not very good for Columbus, they need to do whatever it takes to get Jones extended in a couple seasons and lock P-LD down to a long term deal, trading them for a prospect and a guy who's gonna want out of town in 4 seasons would be a real bad move!

What do you think of the value of a hypothetical 3team trade where CBJ trades Jones, Anderson and Dubinsky for Hischier, and Barrie? You would have the money to extend Barrie or flip him for more assets and sign him in the off-season. What do you think?

Why would the Rangers decline? They want to move him to make room for Shestyorkin and they would be getting an A prospect in Braco and a B prospect who has shown he can play in the NHL in Timoshov.

If they decline this what would the ask be?
