They wouldn't go to Winnipeg. I think they're content to not win and just stay in SJ.

Agreed. its a cool idea, but these guys are 40 plus and have established lives in SJ

Also, giving up Veslainen for Hamonic would be dumb. The jets may not have room for him in the top 6, but his value is far greater then an expiring deal. If the jets want Hamonic and he wants the jets, then just wait till the offseason
