Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 18, 2019
Published: Dec. 18, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Acquiring Trocheck gives them some much needed Center depth heading into playoffs with aging Bergeron and Krejci. Not sure on value as Trocheck has had one excellent year and 4 good, not great years.

Moore would be a solid 3 LD for them, Heinen still under control after current deal. Trocheck is not.

Senyshyn could be replaced with (Zboril, Lauzon, Frederic, JFK) Basically anyone but Lauko, Vaakanianan, Studnicka or Beecher.

Trockeck would be an unreal addition for the Bruins. I have to think the price will be much more than that though. He is a hell of a player. I am thinking a solid young roster player, a 1st, +. Just my thoughts.

He struggled last year (injury) and this year - relative to where it looked like he was heading. FLA is going to have some Cap issues real soon. They have about 16m next year for 9 roster players and Hoffman and Dadonov are among them. They should take up most (6m each?), or leave a huge offensive gap. Adding Moore and Heinen will help bring in two solid NHL players, plus a prospect.

Heinen and Trocheck both have 15pts and Heinen has more goals.

I feel like the panthers wont give up on trocheck so easily. I think he is a cruicial part of their depth and would like to keep him for what they are trying to achieve. Unless you can offer something that benefits them on the blue line a lot which is probably their weakest point from what I have heard (correct me if im wrong)

if heinen and trocheck have same points, heinen has more goals, why are we trading a younger player ++ for trocheck?

Trocheck is a true center with a higher ceiling. Everyone is worried about Bruins 2RW, but Center depth is what worries me. Kuraly is not a 3c and if anything happens to Bergeron or Krecji in the playoffs, they are in real trouble. I guess maybe Studnicka or Beecher if he comes out early... seems like a lot to put on a 20 year old.

we need scoring threats for the playoffs. god forbid something happen to pastrnak hes a huge part of their offense. if the first line gets shut down they need multiple lines of scoring hense the 2rw. im not worried about a 3c this year. we desperately need a capable scoring 2rw.

What do you really think it would cost? He really hasn't been great for a while now... Maybe add a 2nd rd pick?

They are in the playoff picture. Don’t think they will be sellers. Especially to a team they may have to face. If they get to that point they’d be more apt to move Hoffman or Dadanov. If they decided to move him it’s likely to free up cap space. At that point they'd want picks and prospects.

If I’m calling the shots in Florida, I’m not making any trades that would hurt my chances of making the playoffs just yet. Maybe if they fall further.

Yeah, I don't disagree, but I don't see anyway they get in. The Metro will have 5 teams that are in the hunt, so I only see three coming out of Atlantic and I can't see a scenario where FLA jumps Buff, Tor, Tampa and MTL. It will probably still be Boston, Toronto and Tampa.
