I know Zboril was projected to be drafted earlier than Chabot but it's still weird that Chabot went unnoticed for the Bruins scouts

He didn’t. He was an offense first LHD with serious holes in his own end in juniors. They had one of those in Krug already. They went with the shutdown guy instead. Better compliment. Or so the thinking.

Had the roles been reversed Zboril would be playing in Ottawa right now and Chabot would be fighting Grizz for PT in Boston. Unlike Ottawa, there was no clear path to the big club for him in Boston.

Boston likely does not draft Urho and might not sign Moore had Chabot been drafted and forced his way onto the club. But he would not be getting 1st pair minutes or PP time and would not be a 50 point d man there.

Only pick that was a problem was Seny

Had they nailed those 2 picks they’d be in cap hell. Might have lost out on Charlie Mac too.

yeah we know they didn't draft well but so many teams mess up ppicks you can go back on every draft. if they had those guys things would be so radically different you never know they coulkd be worse now because of it.
