As a Hawks fan, OTT wouldn't do this. Brady is a game changing player.

With both Erik Karlsson and Mark Stone gone, Brady Tkachuk is essentially the heart and soul of the team and possibly the future team captain.

What if JGP is not included?

I like Debrincat, but Brady is the heart of this team. I don't think the team survives a Brady Tkachuk trade.

And this is what I fear for the Hawks is that we sign young players to lucrative contracts when they aren't game breaking or can even drive their own line.

Debrincat can IMO. Hes having a bit of a slump, but a 40 goal scorer for 6.3M is pretty solid. We'll see what Strome signs for. He has NOT proven he can drive a line IMO. That's the contract to worry about.

Cat can't drive a line. He's a sniper, but hardly able to drive a line. Think like Sharp. He's an awesome compliment to a star but not an actual star himself. Cat turns the puck over way too much, gets knocked off the puck easily. Cat's job is to find space and shoot; that's a Sharp job.

Strome is a great 3C on a deep team but just don't see him ever being more then that. Can Dach and Toews be our 1and 2 C until we eventually find another top 6 center as Toews regresses and moves down tot 3C? This is the problem with Strome. Unless he takes a big jump in his game, he's a stop gap for a few years until the Hawks can find a top 6 center to take over for Toews.

In fairness to the DeBrinicat contract, the guy scored 41 goals last season. No body thought he would tank. He certainly not getting the opportunities on the third line.

I have been saying this all season, this team would be more competitive if their power play worked. CHANGE IT UP! The opposition has seen it for ten years. Put Kane on point. For God sake, get Gustafsson off the ice. If he isn’t going shoot, from the point then why is on the power play. Put Keith back out there. At least he will shoot the puck. Trade Gus for a bag of broken hockey sticks.
