Not a bad trade for NSH - but I don't see them making it if they are still in the playoff race - Bonino has been too important to them this year. And to a lesser extent, losing Hamhuis would hurt them too right now. But if they are on the outside looking in come trade deadline, I could see a deal like this happening. But I'm not sure you get Poile to retain so much salary - he doesn't like doing that.

Not during the regular season...Apparently he isn't even allowed to lift anything till end of March, the artery has to be fully heal . So I doubt if he even NHL ready till next season.

I love/hate it from a Nashville perspective. The bonino line has been our best line most nights so trading him would suck. That’s a real good return for us though. Puts turris as undisputed 3C and johnsson would probably be 2 or 3 LW. I think due to age this favors Nashville but due to how bonino and the rest of the team is playing it would probably take a lot for them to trade him. I’d do it from a Nashville perspective.

I think it would happen if NSH is still out of playoffs by a good margin at TDL. Bonino would be great to replace Kerfoot is he is staying at LW, and its a good haul as you said for NSH in young prospects.

I agree. It's a good haul for Nashville and is a way to maximize the return on Bonino's great season. Beyond that i think it would balance Nashville's forward depth better.
