You don't watch the Leafs, or Ceci. You have said many things to prove this. For example, you once said Ceci is an all offensive player, that says it all. He's never been that and clearly hasn't been that in TO. So you don't watch. You are an Oilers fan and watch Oiler games. Which is all fine, I have no problem with that. In fact, I think its great! I like the Oilers too. Own that.

Just stop talking about other things as if you know what you are saying when you very clearly only read comments on here and think they are accurate.

Ceci is a bottom pair defender on a tonne of NHL teams. Most likely. What he isn't is a top pair defender, and not a good 2nd pair guy either. If he made 1.5-2 million, no one would be upset with him. Ceci is an pretty good penalty killer and he certainly doesn't hurt you much when he's playing sheltered 3rd pair minutes. Kind of like Benning. Definitely a guy that can be useful but certainly not someone you want playing against top competition.

LOL ok, Ceci cant play defense, so what is he? In 2016 Ceci was 16th in the NHl with goals for defenseman. That was a pretty good year. What kind of player is Ceci? Out west we watch alot of Leafs, they are always on. Except when its baseball season, than i watch alot of the jays. It is either watch the Leafs at 5pm or judge judy

Yes he is way more attractive than Kapanen, even though I love Kapanen way more

This is the issue with the Oilers roster. I see Johnsson being a huge pickup for you guys as well, however, you don't have much to give up to get him. And the only real attractive pieces you do have, you shouldn't move.

Crazy talk? Really? Benning is a bottom pair depth defender. That's what he is. That is his value. Of course, leave it to ridiculous homers to call anyone who doesn't gush over their favourite teams players to hear, "He's a terrible player" whenever anyone doesn't agree with them. You guys are just silly.

Yes he is a bottom pair defender who can slide into top 4 if we need, he is still better than Barrie, Ceci and Holl who is 28 years old already and he is low cost. I will take him over those 3 anyday

Ceci is a depth defenceman. He's certainly can't play against top competition. But he's generally not terrible. Just not very good. And at this stage of his career, he's not going to be getting any better. To call him an offensive guy because one time he scored a lot of goals when he was asked to be way more than he was capable of being isn't a very good way to judge someone. Its the averages that show a guys worth, not his outliers.

Then keep him. You are likely one of two people in the world who are going to say Benning is better than Barrie, that is just silly. Holl has been extremely surprising this season and at 2 million he's a bargain as a top 4 shutdown guy. Benning and Ceci are similar in capabilities. NHLers but best suited to be protected on the bottom pair.

He could get traded, he's one of many bottom 6 forwards TO has. He won't ever get a chance to move higher in the lineup since they have so many better options ahead of him. I imagine he can be had for as little as a 4th.
Copenhagen liked this.

I want to keep him, this is not my trade page. We will need him for playoffs.

I would go after him if I was the Oilers for our 3rd as our 4th line should be Archibald/Sheahan/Nygard

Those are the types of moves the Oilers should be looking at. Moving small assets for guys that could maybe show more with greater icetime.

Because Leafs won't be overpaying for Benning, Leafs need D , Oilers need wingers, Johnsson>>than Benning at this point. I only added Juju for cap reasons, you can keep him he's a fringe player on the Oilers and an AHL/ECHL players on the leafs

LoL trust me. I'm not saying that benning is worth a whole lot.. Oilers do need a winger, but they can't really trade away picks in the 2nd round in a deep draft AGAIN. ****ing chirilie. What an idiot . We're going to lose our 3rd rounder thanks to Neal, which I'm happy about

So what are the chances that 2nd rnd pick becomes a top 6 F with in 2 years? Slim to none. As for this "deep" 2020 draft it's been documented that the top 15 is deep beyond that it's pretty normal that 2020 2nd you'd be sending is probably around the 50th-60th overall
