Why wouldn’t you guys trade Desmith or Murray?

The Murray to Binner comps don't work, Murray has never won a cup by himself, MAF played a good amount of games both years, and even if he does win another one this year, this year it'll be "Jarry's cup" and Murray hasn't really been all that good since the cup wins, Binner was just coming off a cup win, Murray was coming off three relatively lackluster seasons, also using cups to measure a goalies worth is terrible, cups are a team effort, not a goalie effort (same with wins, GAA, and even sv%...)

Murray literally won 15 games in the 2016 cup run.

I'm a huge fan of Dom Simon, but you absolutely don't sign those guys to 6 year deals. Keep it at 3. Middle six players come and go.

Because having two good goalies is a good thing. Desmith as a 3rd isn't bad either. Also, Pittsburgh doesn't really need to trade any of them

I don't respond to this guy's Murray Quotes anymore. He didn't watch the games. It is pretty evident.

The four games against Ottawa he gave up 2,0,2, and 2. The last of which he played an extra half of a game without giving up the big goal. People forget we were down 2-1 in that series. But Matt is chopped liver now.. Haha. Same people that hated Flower and then cried when the Penguins literally had to make a decision on the two of them. People are also forgetting that they will have to make that decision next year with Jarry and Murray in all likelihood.

My rationale is he has great chem with Sid and Jake, why try to find a "better" winger to replace him? He doesn't hold that line back at all, instead, spend that money elsewhere like finally finding a solid 3C, shoring up the bottom pair next year, maybe adding term and $$ on some contracts above^.

We don't need to pay a "top line winger" 6M to play with Crosby when we know there's a guy (Simon) that works great on that line. Spend the money elsewhere IMO
