The only way I'd be cool with missing out on the 1st is if Ottawa is getting a top prospect in return. I still believe Puljujarvi can be that.

but to play devils advocate he's not valued the same he was when he was taken 4th overall
he's more so valued as a middle 6 guy then a top line prospect . if we're being honest even if everything went right in his career to date its unlikely he's a top line player on a cup contender .

I think with his play this season, he's at least proving that all the tools are still there. He's still got the speed, he's got the hands and he has the shot. Obviously I don't expect him to come over and be point per game like he is in Finland, but I can see him still becoming a top six contributor, just maybe not the superstar people thought he would be by now.

It's going to come down to how hard he's willing to work, and how much faith his new team will put in him.

With a 2020 2nd, yeah. With a 2021 2nd, no.
