Was stated many times (even by you I believe) that Zucker won't waive to Canadian market. The fit playerwise would be great for the Oil especially if they could swing Larsson somewhere for decent return

I don't mind it, but I'd want more if I was Minny. Dumba and Zucker are arguably their two best chips. Thinking Bouchard and a 2nd for Dumba, Lavoie and a 6th for Zucker and not Neal at all, cuz his cap hit sucks and Minny has enough ****ty cap hits already. In replace of Neal, another B type prospect. Like Marody or Day.

So the final deal would look something like this: Dumba and Zucker for Bouchard Lavoie Marody 2nd and a 6th....

Now throw this all out the window, because EDM is in cap hell and there's no way they'd fit both of these players in...

I’m not concerned about the cap here. This would most likely be an off-season trade and the Oilers could figure it out.

I’ve actually never said that, but it’s probably true. Zucker is a great family man and his wife is a budding media Star here, so he would probably nix this deal...but, maybe...just maybe the idea of playing alongside McDavid or Draisaitl would be too tempting...

Yeah I'd want a definite over-payment from Edmonton to take back Neal, but fitting things within the cap would be tough in any scenario..

If I'm Minny I'd do anything for Bouchard, so this deal is a huge yes. Some scouts rate him as one of the best defensive prospects in the league, could be one of the best defensemen in the NHL very soon. Not sure Oilers are in huge rush to trade him, he's probably almost as untouchable as McDavid and Draisaitl.

Oilers are not interested in Trading Bouchard. He’s pencilled in the lineup for next year already

As for the trade I agree MIN needs to get more for those two, they are valuable assets and should fetch more. Billy G isn't going give away either player.

With that being said EDM is not in cap hell, they aren't positioned to chase the big fish this summer which summer fans want but could add $11.5M if salary was going the other way. A couple of astute moves such as dealing one or more of Chaisson, Russell, Neal or Larsson would alleviate significant space. The option to send Gags to the minors frees up $1M as well. Keep in mind virtually all NHL teams are in the same boat as EDM, money in means money out, COL is an exception of a buyer with space. No matter who the team is if Minny is to deal Zucker and Dumba a significant amount of money would be coming back, in the form of either expiring deals or signed players.
