This is offensively bad.

OTT is no longer picking up the phone when you call them.

Injured player having a career year and a B+ AHL prospect for a top 5 pick in one of the deepest drafts in years

I don't think this is as outrageous as you make it sound. But thinking about it more I'd agree Ottawa isn't giving up what is likely a top 10 pick. Mantha is a 40 goal scoring stud in my opinion and I think Detroit should definitely move him more some high end assets. By the time they are seriously good again he'll be nearing 30

This is awful. “Mantra is a 40 goal scoring stud”, he isn’t he hasn’t even scored 30 in a season.

Dzingel is very close to Mantha (Dzingels career best pace is 63 pt pace at 26, Manthas best is 58 pt pace at 24)
During which Mantha played 1 min more per night and was more dependent on the PP for his point production

Dzingel got a B prospect and 2 2nds. Not a top 5 first (let alone a top 5 1st + a 2nd in the 32-35 range)

Mantha should pull a 1st, but it would be in the 25OA range

Agreed about the ask for a top 5 pick that was dumb on my end. But Mantha is light years better than Dzingel, I don't even think the two can be compared in the same class

This argument is pointless because Detroit isn't trading Mantha and Ottawa isn't trading that pick.

Ottawa declines, but part of me wants to say yes just to see the biggest line in Hockey history. Rassmussen-L.Brown-Mantha

Ottawa 2nd round 2020 is almost a first to go along a top 5 pick this year. WoW can Ottawa trade all that for Anthony Mantha?
