Moore was born near LA so I think he'll be enthusiastic about coming back home and joining the Kings. He has speed, plays with lots of energy, and can provide depth scoring. Probably on a bottom six role, grinder type. He will probably bring some sparks to an ageing team (no offense).

No idea on Freddy but you will love Moore. He is 4th liner who brings energy to the 4th line and outworks everyone on the ice. He hasn't done much more than be a guy since last playoffs (he was a beast) but overall he will be a nice add for your bottom 6. He can play up the lineup on a skill line in the event of an injury too.

Also a hometown kid so thats always fun

Also this is the highlight of his career so far. It is beautifulHeart Eyes

Moore's going to be a fan favourite. Little guy that gets into the dirty areas and brings energy to the bottom 6. Can even fill in for injured middle 6 players if needed

So basically a Kyle Clifford, but not as good and only 3/4 years younger? Stupid trade for the Kings good for the Maple Leafs...

I think Moore has the upside of being versatile and playing higher in the lineup here and there. I think in the long run he will be better than Clifford has been/will be.

I mean, you are rebuilding, got picks, and Moore will be cheaper for longer. It's pretty good for both sides

You forgot to mention the two draft picks. Moore + a 3rd is a good return for Clifford. I was expecting for a 2nd for Campbell, so if the condition doesn't get met on the 2021 pick, then the Kings lost on that trade.

Highly doubt that. Clifford is probably one of the best 4th line wingers in the league and means more to the Kings than Moore ever will.

Oh right, two 3rd round picks!! Forgot about that! Maybe you didn't consider that those 3rd round picks will probably never make the NHL...

Those 3rd round picks will probably never make the NHL and Clifford is a perfect guy to go along the rebuild with.

According to the stats, the Kings have a better than 50% chance that one of the two draft picks they acquired will become a NHL regular and a 10% chance that both will. Couple that with the two 3rd round picks they already have in those drafts, and the Kings are now statistically "guaranteed" to get a NHL caliber player out of the 3rd round.

Come on dude get real... There's never any guarantee a player will actually turn into an NHL player especially in that round. You're not that stupid are you?

There's a reason why guaranteed is in quotes. Statistics from that link show that two 3rd round picks have a slightly better than 50% chance of turning into a NHL player. Which means four 3rd round picks have a combined percentage of over 100%. The Kings now have four 3rd round picks in 2020/2021. The odds are good that one of those four guys will be a NHL player.

I guess we'll see what happens in 5 OR 6 YEARS....
