No interest in Dumba going to Chi. He's not a guy I want to see 4 to 12 times (depending on Playoffs) a year on the other side of the ice.

Strome for Dumba would be super interesting. I think Strome is a question mark as he’s in a slump this year plus injury. So is he a 50-60 point/yr center or is he a draft bust? It’s hard to tell. With Dumba you know what you’re getting.

Hawks are full on the RD side though. Plus again De Haan and Seabrook are big unknowns. Are they LTIR forever or retiring or will they be healthy? If they’re both healthy next season then it’d be tough to find a spot for Dumba, though one should be made.

Even with the slump, in a full season he's still on pace for over 50 points this year. How much ice-time does he get? Because on the Wild he'd be the number 2 center for sure, possibly even number one.

Draisaitl had 9 (NINE) points at 19 yo in the NHL Kotkaniemi was a project, he was supposed to be ready in 2021-2022 but due to lack of centers Kotkaniemi made the team in 2018 as a 18 yo kid AND register ****ing 34 points at 18 yo !! This year he had Nick Cousins and Jordan Weal for wingers = garbage. Why is Kotkaniemi down in the minor ? Because Danault Suzuki & Domi are all playing centers and Domi doesn’t want to play LW. So Kotkaniemi and Poehling are playing with Laval. Again, Draisaitl had 9 points at 19 yo with 2 goals, Kotkaniemi have 6 goals

I’d have to look it up but my guess is 16-18 minutes. Beginning half of the season up until the injury he was 2C with Debrincat on LW and a rotation on RW (mostly Kane) and was on first power play unit. He’s usually the guy in front of the net on the PP.

I'm also not sold on Strome. Is he as good as him stats or are the a byproduct of his linemates? When I watch him I think of Kerfoot, a really nice 3C, but not a guy that's a top-6 center.

You lose a trade like this in your Division and it'll bite you for years. NSH must be kicking themselves for the Granny/Fiala swap. The Nino trade sucked for MN, but they only have to see him twice a year

Kotkaniemi will never be more than a 2C.. probably a really good 3C that can fill in at 2C but he'll never be top line material. Those types of guys aren't as valuable as you think

Unless you’re giving a team fighting with you for a playoff spot a rental, that is the only time you avoid divisional trades
