If you move Jumbo and Patty and you get Backes back you should expect to get a 1st rounder, or the equivalent of it. Add Senyshyn and a 3rd rounder. At least

Here is the problem. Boston does not want or need either of them. They need a goal scoring RW for the 2nd line. They need a physical presence in the lineup. Those are neither. There is no room for them. It also makes Boston have to place 2 players on waivers. It does not help them at all, other than dumping Backes cap hit next year which is not a necessity just a luxury.

As far as Zboril goes he’s buried in a deep org. But he offers little upside at this point. Most likely will never be more than a 3rd pair type, if that. It’s why every Bruins fan includes him in AGMs. He’s of little value. Typical of fans. Only willing to move pieces they don’t want.


That being said I doubt they ever move Backes cheaper than this so I’d do it. But not sure the players would. Better yet would be a 3 or 4 team deal sending those 2 where they want to go and we take 7ths from those teams.

i'm a little surprised MTL got almost as much for Scandella but our Gm's known for getting more then the value of players he acquires at the TDL (Petry and Danault for example and between both trades the only player of value involved is Caleb Jones )

trade him to PIT then and start them crying for a different reason .
PIT could use him as a cheaper pick up to help them maintain position in the rankings like Hagelin was years back
