Dude Parayko is an elite d-man... if you want St-Louis to consider that, add Dermott AT LEAST

Nylander is a potential 30 goal scorer

And? Would you trade a 30 goals scorer for a number 1 d-man? Parayko is as good, if not slightly better than Reilly

In a different situation yes at Louis lacks a pure goal scorer other then tarasenko and they have depth in there system to replace parayko imo

And they have depth to replace- not having Nylander-

St-Louis passes, easily.

Ok you are the stupidest person I have seen. Parako is a second d man. Not a first. If he was a first he would be better than Piet.
He is also much older than Nylander and Nylander is on pace for 30 goals.
Plus St. Louis got faulk. If they traded Parako Piet would want to stay. St Louis has 2 many rh d man

Toronto wouldn't know what to do with an elite dman. They over value their forwards and act like they're gifts from god. The same forwards that couldn't score on a 40+ year old zamboni driver...

What I meant is that Parayko is easily a 1st d-man caliber player

Does the age matter? Nah it doesn't in that case. D-men carry more value than forwards

AHAHAHAH. So Tavares scoring 47 goals isn't good. Or Marner getting 94. Or Matthews going to get 50 goals. Or Nylander on pace for 30 goals with a contract that Kevin Hayes got?

Lol talk all about the Zamboni driver because I threw out my Marner shirt and lit it on fire

I never said they aren't good, anyone making $10m+ a season should give you those results IMO. You can't honestly tell me that you are content with the teams structure as it is. One of your "Top 4" has to go, and you - as fans - will have to realize that they won't net you the return that so many envision. It's not being rude or critical of your fanbase, but once you realize that, you can start to look forward to building on what you actually have and not what the have talent to do. I'd love nothing more than to see Toronto win a cup, their fanbase craves it and the hockey world would love to see them end their drought. However it's mind numbing constantly reading comments about how this player and that player deserves numerous first rounders, top prospects, high end players in return. That's not going to happen. They need to overhaul their defense in a big way. Signing Muzzin really complicates that, it's a nice step toward improvement but he's not someone I would want as a focal point of my defensive rebuild. He's a nice pairing to a top dman, but it gets back to the team having to shed salary and be creative in a minor rebuild. I hope it all works out for you, but every team wants the highest return on their players. You can ask for the moon and stars all day but every day they play - and under perform - they lose leverage. If Petro walks in free agency, I'll disagree with his decision but we got a cup. I'm happy with that. There's just alot of holes to fill in Toronto. I wouldn't be chasing after a $8-10 mil defenseman when I have pot holes all over my team.

My thoughts? I'm thinking: "Holy ****, these Leafs fans should at long last grow a clue and descend from their fantasy world because we are never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVVVVEEEEERRRRRR going to trade Parayko to Toronto. Duh."

Wow ok if you really want to flex on righting a 20 minute long paragraph. However I know there are some stupid leaf fans their that think Dumba would be a fit
And they think Manson is worth Dermott and Kappy

Not even then. Adding a $10M player is simply not possible with our cap situation. Making such a trade means saying goodbye to both Parayko and Petro. No chance. And frankly, that is not a severe overpayment. A severe overpayment would mean a massive star still on an ELC. Of course, the folks who keep coming up with these Parayko trades will usually then go into how Parayko really isn't that great or irreplaceable and how their guy is such an amazing get, which just makes me wonder why they'd even want to make such a trade in the first place. Of course, they're just gaslighting, and know full and well what Parayko's value is.

The trade proposal that just won't go away. People saying that the Blues can replace Parayko are wrong. One of the best shutdown defenders in the league and right in his prime. Nylander is awesome, but no where near as rare/important
