Clifford is a good fourth liner and an adequate 3rd liner in place of injury. Don't pay non C fourth liners significantly over 1 million... You're regret it.

As well he will cost a second to resign, pass

main thing is this we sign clifford we lose our 2021 2nd would rather let him go sign thorton for league min and keep our 2nd for a possible future trade. He has done his job and made Kapenan into a suitable replacement for toughness

the main thing is clifford could come back but honestly thorton is a tough cookie so losing clifford and bringing in the cheaper thorton makes it where we still are tough and dont lose our 2nd pick

Clifford is good at fighting but so is Thorton. Also he is one of the greatest passers and him playing w/Matthews would be nasty. Matthews would be over a goal per game
