Description
With this ****ty virus right now, the cap will decrease but cant decrease that much either so i think they will fix it at 81M wich will not be a too serious problem for contending teams right now who make trades at TDL since they though the cap will increase at 83M.

- with this cap, teams with high cap will have a problem like TOR. This is why if i were in Bergevin pants i'd try to gave them domi who's not a bad player and can play LW or center and is native from toronto with his father whos an icon of leafs team. Im pretty sure he will be happy to sign cheaper there and his ppg is 0.66 in nhl vs nylander 0.72 . 1 vs 1 nylander as higher value but because leafs will have trouble with the cap this could be a good alternative for them with domi signing a cheap bridge deal. Since nylander have a better value mtl add an early 2nd round and good goltander prospects which make this fair to my eyes. Both sides are winning.

- Drouin shows good things this season before being injured. Reunite him with mckinnon and this could be fire. also his contract is cheap if he produces as expected and for long term. Avs wont give great prospects as they already said but they start missing place in their depth chart for byram whos rising. Graves could be a great defenseman for habs and solidify MTL defense. This let Avs space to resign zadorov and have some extra Millions to put in offense and become really good cup contender. Jost hasnt prove anything yet and Hudon whos in the top 3 PP goal in ahl this year and had a great year in NHL in the past with good center. So he could be great fit with COL and you get a 2nd early pick in the mix which made all of this a fair deal as my opinion.

Toronto fans would love to see Domi in toronto as his father played here. I just dont know if we would trade nylander for him. Domi could potentially want more money than nylander so things could get tricky in that department. As for McNiven, Michael we dont need another prospect goalie. Either add one of your 5th picks or add a prospect forward whose ok and the leafs may be interested

That’s a fair trade with Colorado, though Colorado doesn’t need a guy like Hudon (they have Kaut, Bowers and LOC fighting for roster spots next season). I just think Colorado doesn’t have a lot of interest in Drouin. Giving Graves 5x5 is a huge over pay, if your going to roll the dice like that I would make it a 7 yr deal.

Drouin wouldnt be a good fit in Colorado.
Offensively giften when hes motivated yes, would be a good 2nd line player surrounded by good players yes....but hes not going to play with MacKinnon nor would he be a good fit on that line with how its constructed and they use MacKinnon. Bednar stresses defesnive responsible and all about process in terms of how does one read the game. That will always be drouins downfall, very poor 2 way game and has been plagued with effort issues now in 2 franchise. Don't see how it will change now bc hes "re-united with Mack"

Values fair and interesting in the trade but its a little misguided in the pieces back to the Avs

The reason Avs would want to move one of Zadorov or Graves isnt so they could resign one of them, they have the money for that. Its bc they have Byram ready to take a spot. So getting Kulak back defeats the purpose of why they would move A graves in the first place

IMO this move is all about Domi....Sakic apparently likes him and has been after him since he was in Arizona, MB apparently really likes graves or Zadorov. If a deal is hammered out bw the 2 teams, wouldn't be shocked at all that those pieces are the ones thats are involved

Personally I wouldn’t trade Max for a another forward. He’s got the grit and skills this team needs, similar to what Drouin did last offseason Max needs to take a step back watch some video and see that he tried to do too much this year, if he simplified his game like how he did his first season with us the 70 points can return. If he’s traded it should be for a young solid dman. Also I don’t like that Drouin trade Graves has been good but don’t think that transfers over to our system and we have some great LHD prospects who are coming up soon that we should be patient with. If Romanov joins us he will be a big help on the left side and Mete is worthy of the spot for the time being until Harris or Norlinder push him. Drouin will be a big asset when Caufield and KK hit their peak.
