You're not looking at this correctly.
You're replacing Heinen and Rowney with Max Jones and Troy Terry.
Whats the point of have either of the above 4 players playing 10 minutes a night on the 4th line....
and "proven NHLers" lol cmon man. Do you want me to give you a list of all the garbage "proven NHLers" there are? {?What's this got to do with anything?} Both those players are low risk contracts saving about $2M for cap space (allocated to Taylor) Hall) who can prove themselves on the 4th line against other 4th line caliber players. Still have the opportunity they can grow and have shown they're at the minimum "NHLers"
You seem to misunderstand the term "replace." "Replace" means that they're added to the team when two other guys are sent away. When you send away Heinen and Rowney, and Hawryluk and Zykov are added to the team, then Hawryluk and Zykov are replacing Heinen and Rowney. Jones and Terry don't replace Heinen and Rowney, they play on different lines and all four are eminently capable NHLers, while Hawryluk and Zykov have proven that they are not. In short, you are trading away two players and adding two players whom you admit "
can prove themselves on the fourth line." We're not interested in experimenting with guys who "can" prove themselves capable NHLers; we've got guys who have already proven that. And by the way, DesLauriers plays exclusively on LW and Sherwood will never play a minute at center on the Ducks.
Since you display a certain unfamiliarity with our team, here's how we currently line up:
Rakell-Henrique-Silfverberg
Milano-Getzlaf-Heinen
Jones-Steel-Terry
DesLauriers-Backes-Rowney
You should also know that management has an internal cap that is lower than $81.5 million.
