everyone is saying that Tampa Bay can't keep both Sergachev and Cirelli, so why not trade both RFA rights to whoever and get Lafrenière, i know he a stud, but we don't know what he will be in the nhl level, also don't talk about Dallas getting robbed, if anything Johnson will bounce back to a 48 point scorer, he will be fine

I know this is kinda for jokes but I don't think that DET does it. As compelling as it is. You just don't give up on the hope of a franchise player when you have nothing else

While Detroit wouldn't do that, there is almost an 80% chance they won't get the pick. If a team that's not a bottom feeder gets it, that package looks mighty compelling.

i told you this won't happen. look, we don't know what his career will look like in the nhl, but it will most likely going to be Sidney Crosby. the worst that would happen is that he a Nail Yakupov type of player, not going to happen

Hey its a fun idea and always fun to speculate stuff like this.

BUT: yeah i am gonna tell you the Dallas deal is bad. He could obviously bounce back, but with that bug ol cap hit of his, you would be lucky to find a contender who has space for him. So definitely worth a 3rd tops unfortunately, and maybe some retention at that

Who ever gets the #1 overall pick, You're going to need to add a lot better then this. To add Alexis Lafreniere to Tampa. That's bad for Detroit or any team landing the 1st overall pick.

Man I actually think the opposite of most here.
Cirelli is already dominant, will get Selke votes this year.
Sergachev will be a top 2 D for 10+ Years.
Lafreniere will probably be better than both players, but combined I’d take that package if I was DET, especially Detroit.
