VGK trade is a farce. Theodore is miles above Petry in both level and in value due to his long contract and Petry being a pending UFA. Fonstad as a compensation is a royal joke.

COL and STL trades are interesting though.

I like Fonstad but it would take some more to pull Theodore away from Vegas

What are you adding up on MTL side to make this happen ?

Nothing. I view Theodore as the best player of the VGK team after Stone. No contending team should move their best d-man for nothing less than a better player, which is a condition Habs in unable to fulfill. Only Weber's good enough, but VGK can never afford his contract.

How much are you valuing Nate Schmidt in this case , petry vs schmidt can be an option ?

That's much closer, but the term is an issue. Maybe Petry+McShane+conditional 3rd that turns to 2nd if re-signs for Schmidt?

Don't underrate Graves. His +/- and stability are insane.

avs want nothign to do with Drouin, his tire fire of ability to play 2way hockey and his lack of effort issues.
Yet Montreal fans keep on throwing him to the Avs, despite the price to get him, no interest in him bc of who he is as a player (hes not goign to play with MacKinnon if he ever did get traded to the same team as him)

I wouldn't sleep out of him either, He was pretty good until his injury. Imo Drouin to COL makes somewhat sense as they lack clear 2LW.

hes not that special and the baggage that comes with him isnt worth it even though on paper he helps the Top 6

Erik Haula as a UFA is a better fit than Drouin TBH

I know. Petry's the one whose term is an issue.
