This isn’t realistic. Leddy at best will return a 2nd, bailey a 3rd. Komarov has no value. Parise deal is dead.

You should've said more like delusional, Then you'd be correct. More like fantasy as most of those players aren't going to return those picks.

I agree the Parise deal is dead. I didn't think it had much of a chance of being made at the TDL either.

It’s not worth it for the wild to retain 3 mill and face the risk of the cap recapture penalty. It’s also not worth it for the islanders if the wild can’t retain 3 mill. It’s a complicated trade.

First that Minny trade WTF is that?
Islanders relieve them selves of 2 bad and unproductive contracts while aquiring a sorta bad but relatively productive contract in Parise and a 1st rnd pick?
Ladd awful and expensive
Boychuk expensive third pair
Ho-sang bust busy busy

This the homer of all homer trades lol

The Ladd Bellows for Parise was close to being a reality during the regular.
Leddy is 29 and is one of the most gifted skating defensemen whose game has become more well rounded under Barry Trotz and adding Josh Hosang who has all the offensive talent in the world and has been black balled by islanders management due to mistakes as a young man. A change of scenery will do wonders for him.

Deal died because of something with Mikko Koivu.

Josh Bailey's contract and veteran presence is worth a 2nd alone. add Mitch Vande Somple to the deal and it becomes a 1st. MVS would've been the first D call up this year for Isles if he didn't get hurt. Easily a future top 4 man. Blade Jenkins is worth a 3rd. great skater power forward type.

Koivu said he wouldn't waive his NMC days before the TDL. So not sure what he had to do with anything.

Minn Trade: Isles went into the trade deadline with Pageau as their #1 target and Parise as a backup if they could not get Pageau. Once the Ott trade happened there was no trade for Parise. Additionally Minn. has to be careful about moving Parise, if he retires they face a significant recapture penalty. If there is a CBO this offseason I would think they would look to use it on him.

Ott Trade: Bailey on his own is a 2nd round value, maybe 2nd and 3rd if Isles retain $1M. Vande Somple at best is a 3rd/4th round value. He has been productive in the AHL but will be 24 by next season and at best a 3rd pairing guy, there are a lot of those type of players around. Jenkins at best is a 5th round pick which is where he was drafted. Isles will not be getting a 1st for this package, especially a potential top 5 pick.

Van Trade: Dal Colle has a value of maybe a 4th round pick, he has shown he can be a bottom 6 player and maybe 25-30 points at best. Hickey can still be a 3rd pairing player, he would probaly get a 5th round pick at best with some money retained. Don't forget Hickey passed through waivers this year.

MTL Trade: Uncle Leo is a cap dump, you would have pay a team to take him, not get a 3rd back. And Adams is of no value, he will probably never make the NHL and be a career AHL player.

Leddy isn’t terrible. He’s a solid LD2. Boychuk is not NHL caliber defenseman
