If Malkin is top 5 pens running away with there division, I would put a few guys ahead of him at the moment, not to say he doesn’t crack it again before too long. He seems to play his best hockey when Crosby is hurt. Mathews is on fire lighting the lamp, oreilly just led a team to a cup, barzal won fastest skater and is interesting on the island. Coutiere one of the best two way centers in the league, got to be something shiny in philly just won a 11 in a row. But that’s off the top of my head without stats help

Karlsson's very good but he hasn't been as good as he was (2011-2017). Top10 but not top5 currently. Jones also in the top10.

That's why I said the rest can change and it is debatable. Spurgeon has been one of the best D but for whatever reason, not much talk about him. Is it because he plays for MIN? Burns is great offensive not at all defensive when karlsson is healthy i think he is actually pretty good in the d zone

I’ve watched him for 2 - 1/2 seasons and he makes horrible decisions on the defensive zone, I use to think Karlsson is amazing then we got him and now I hate him he plays like he doesn’t care it’s more mental than physical and now we owe him 11.5 mil for the next 7 years
