RONA infected Salary Cap

Created by: acaraturo

Description
Assuming the cap stays the same, this is what you're looking at, Rangers fans. Used the Dumba deal as a ballpark for DeAngelo. Incoming Strome deal smells too much like the one I put forward. I think there's a chance it comes in a bit higher, but for what it's worth, if you can get him for the price I suggested, you do it. He has incredible chemistry with Panarin, kills penalties, plays PP, and despite how you feel about him, he did have a heck of a year and has been a solid Ranger for two years. He's approaching his prime. You never know, maybe he has found the perfect setup. I'm n not interested in rolling the dice on someone else for higher money.

they will not buyout both players - it makes zero sense for them to do that.

Lol with the continuous chiming in, we know you don't like TDa or Strome. Strome @ 3x5m is no overpay considering, since he's joined us, he's learned how to earn the coaches trust and simply rack up points. And no he doesn't just sit in the weeds or suck like your old tmz scouting report states. Comes down to cap, because he fits like a glove. Same reason you didn't pay JGP. TDa is a highly skilled puck mover like it or leave it, yet his d isn't that bad, it's more his wild horses attitude that gets him charging. He's still learning how to play with his nastiness, which is very nice to see. Chabot might be a step above, sure, yet he also has his defensive warts, and of course different scenarios lol!!! As a Sens fans, you'll already be experienced enough to understand, when your kids price themselves out of there.

Yea, from other posts, you clearly have a bone to pick with this franchise. You may have watched one Rangers game all year, although, I can bet you probably watched none after what you're rambling off. Strome for two years has been a guy that can be deployed in every situation and has earned the club's trust. DeAngelo was a first-round pick for a reason. It took three teams but he has finally figured it out. His defensive deficiencies are so overblown it's absurd. Get him a solid stay at home partner (many of them are coming up through the pipeline) and he will be fine. Staal is approaching his mid-30s now. Right, so let two solid players walk for nothing. That's why your team is rolling the dice on two first-round picks saving your franchise and guys are leaving left and right. Unreal.

If the cap doesn't increase, how do they afford two guys who haven't even hit their primes yet? They can't keep a 39-year-old goalie around and a 34-year-old defender with no mobility. Every team in hockey will be hit with the repercussions of the virus.
