I agree but unfortunately the other trade options out there aren't much better than him. Domi, R Strome, D Strome, and maybe Mittelstadt are the most realistic options. I'd love Cirelli but I think Tampa finds a way to keep him. Wild are doomed for more mediocrity unless we luck into a center at the draft...

As for the trade it will cost more for Strome. Sturm is a bottom 6 C, Pateryn is a bottom pairing D that can play second pairing in a pinch, and Dubnyk is washed up at this point. Strome probably won't cost an arm and a leg, but it will be more than this.

It's why I don't see a trade being made unless someone new comes onto the market because of the flat cap. Haula and Larsson are the best fits I see on the UFA market for MN, but neither of those are the top-6 center MN needs.

I do think Haula on a 1 year prove it deal would be good for both him and the team. No matter what number center he would be he'd have quality wings to play with.

I couldn't agree more. I'm still holding out hope that Guerin can swing a deal for Cirelli to help Tampa with their cap but it's probably in futility.

If there is a center trade I don't think it'll be one most fans see coming, and MN ends up with someone like Henrique on the team.

Have you seen him play? He's a stud. His point totals don't fully reflect how good he is.
