Connor and Wheeler play no defence? The only one I would consider bumping down is Laine. That's it though.

Connor’s been one of the worst defensive players this year and although he kills penalties, he’s very very bad at it.

Best to worst in what way? Contract? Statistics? potential, etc etc?

Ehlers should be ahead of Connor, laine, and wheeler

It might just come down to personal preference, definitely not saying you're wrong and there are cases for both sides! I think Connor has been the more consistent performer on a night to night basis. Laine may be the better goal scorer (although Connor topped him this year) and Ehlers may have that speed and a better defensive game, I think Connor's game is the total package. Again, this is 100% just personal opinion...and I hate to say this but now that I'm thinking it through I believe Ehlers has a strong case to be ahead of Connor and others on this list...

Seems like I'm in the minority for my Ehlers ranking...the more I think of it the more I am realizing he should be ranked higher 100%.

Ehlers is a great play driver, he should be on the top line with Scheifele and laine.

He leads the jets in goals, assists and points per minute. He should get more playing time.

Man I’ve been saying Ehlers - Scheifele - Laine should be our first line. But we have a bonehead coach that will end up just putting wheeler and scheifele together again and again. It’s honestly frustrating, I would like to see that line get put together and then have Connor - ? - Wheeler. I think DeMelo might be a little underrated on this list. Imo he’s better than roslovic and little. Little should be pushed down a bit. There’s also no way Lowry is that high, I mean he’s good defensively but that’s it, when he’s out there he’s wasting time that we could have a 3rd scoring line out there.

Yeah forsure like you just said ehlers forsure the better and more complete player as for laine kinda tricky i like him more then Connor this year he has actually been really good and played well in the dzone/on the wall he still needs improvement in the area but had a well rounded year also shows his passing ability this year which I still think he can become atleast a 40 goal scorer playing with the proper line mates

I think ehlers does more with nothing than anyone else on the team. Little played at an above average level when he was on a line with ehlers, once he got taken off little’s underlying numbers were terrible again.

I’d probably go Connor-copp-wheeler. Copp is pretty good defensively and it seems like he makes his line as a whole better defensively. Wheeler has been really bad at C

I was surprisingly impressed with wheeler at C at some point. He was way better in the dot than scheifele and put 3x more effort into it.

Effort doesn’t mean he’s effective. I think PM needs to construct the lines in a way that gets the most out of each player. Barry trotz does the same thing, and it’s very frustrating.

Ehlers-copp-Connor was a good line this year as well. Not sure how big the sample size is.

Connor-Scheifele-wheeler should never be on the ice at the same time at 5 v 5.
