Still isn’t really enticing. We’d end up with too many D, and one less top 9 forward. There’s no use in trading Domi, unless we get a winger back.

Domi deal isn't even close. He's a center, with similar production to reinhart, and plays with an edge. He'll cost reinhart, at least. Throwing Raymond right into a top 6 role in the NHL would be just about the worst thing you could do for his development

who knows with this draft really, but even if you did, you wouldn't be throwing him straight into a top6 role in the NHL

Reinhart has had better consistent production than Domi. Also this is 21-22 season.

A deal that involves domi would involve reinhart. They don't need montour whatsoever

Reinhart>Domi so that isn't happening. Coming from Montreal fans that say they don't need Domi since they have all the center depth in the world.

he has it as 21-22 here so would be a year later. Raymond has a top 3 skill set in this class, I don't see him falling out of the top 5 and even if he does there's 0 chance NJ passes on him at 6.

doesn't mean they'll move him for nothing. Domi>reinhart. Equal production and plays a harder game and a more valuable position

What world are you in? I rather have Reinhart over Domi. He is one year older and has a much better point production

Production is comparable. Domi is a center which is more valuable, and plays a tough game

Something that is very valuable in Domi's game is the fact that he has the toughness needed to excel in the playoffs. He can hit, he can get to the dirty areas, he obviously has the skill. I'm not necessarily saying he's better but he definitely close to Reinhart. Domi has 116 points in the last 2 seasons, Reinhart has 115 points in the last 2 seasons. They are pretty even I would say.

How is domi good in the playoffs when he has never even played in the playoffs? He takes stupid penalties which actually lowers his value
Reinhart is more consistent. I would take him any day

Sure if you want, but this year Domi has really controlled himself. I'm not even hyping him up because I don't even think he's the best player that we have. I don't know if you have watched a lot of the Habs but he has learned a lot about what is his limit. It's actually impressive that he got 72 points last year with like 80 PIMs.

What tough centre? tears of joy tears of joy. Now player value goes way up because a guy just delivers hits? He takes a million stupid penalties. The amount I have seen him take is insane
Also your star centre getting penalties is bad

yes actually, guys who deliver hits and play with aggressiveness are more valuable, especially in the playoffs. He has reduced the number of stupid penalties that he takes. Think about it like kadri- part of what made him so important to this team is that he played with heart and grit. He did take stupid suspensions in the playoffs, but domi is nowhere near that level of penalty/suspension taking. I would love to have him as a leaf
