That's not nearly enticing enough for OTT.

Goldy = KHL-calibre (he's done, get over it and move on).
Reid = AHL-ECHL-Swiss calibre (26yrs old - he is what he is...a minor leager).
Stetcher = 5th thru 7th D-man realistically speaking.
Demko = he's the key BUT he's un-proven at the NHL-level.
* He needs to play NHL on a reg/semi-reg basis first, get games, be successful, and then maybe he will get interest in trades. No doubt he's made the "show" BUT he's still a raw 'A-level prospect' as goalies go.

think you undervalue Stetcher, more like 3 or 4. change of scenery might make it for ahlers. demko probably worth first on his own but, you are correct, he needs to "show" it. thinking with all those picks ottawa might give it a flyer.

Yeah you're right I low-balled Stetcher a wee bit.
The minor leaguers will not, I repeat, they will not find Utopia, or the back of the net, with scenery changes - Zero value; 0.

edit - OTT is young and on a re-build so they would like to see NHLers in RFAs Jake or Gaudette in the trade-call and think along the lines of adding A/B-level prospects in Woo/Podz etc etc...if you ask me...

Impt. to note too tho: looking at OTT is an eye-opener in the amount of RFAs they have to sign - whoa!! And going forward, they would be smart to scatter the Cap crunch that could come with having too many same-year players on the club/in the system/at the draft...

Well! Jimmy B, Jimmy B, Jimmy B....without that primo carrot - isn't OTT pick top 3 assured? Laff or Byfield???
If so, Van's deal is like:
Horvat, Demko, Jake...

Columbus declines... we have no use for Colin Miller. JT Miller on the other hand... that trade wouldn’t get him.

SJ is 3rd worst in the league YTD and chances are very good they at least stay there (and/or 'conditionally' protect the positioning)...

Either way you slice it - the original trade-call is declined by OTT; 100%.

If the Sabres could get the Columbus goalie and a 4th for Miller they'd do it...

EDIT: I saw your post, I think this is a great trade for Buffalo. Hate to give away Sam, but Sven looks ready while Casey does not.

Buffalo fan here. That like a fair trade.
Miller, Colin < Virtanen, Jake [RFA Rights]
Reinhart, Sam [RFA Rights] >=< Boeser, Brock more or less equal depending on one's point of view
Mittelstadt, Casey [RFA Rights] < Baertschi, Sven
2020 2nd round pick (BUF) >> 2020 3rd round pick (VAN)
I would like to hear feed back.

Hey GG,
Think the trade or much of it could work. The skill/eye-test values are good or certainly close and the $$-in is close to the $$-out; in theory.
Virtanen looks to be coming around and should at least avg 20G's/yr. Therefore, Miller might not be as desired given VANs RD depth?
Reinhardt's a centre so that might sway some to his favour over BB as you mention - but those two are the "centrepieces" and equal or close to it.
CMitt & SB - neither has really panned out. More upside w/ Casey based solely on age and RFA vs UFA IMO. Both are likely 3/4th liners or AHLers anyways.

I give the edge to Van regarding assets to this point so the pick swap should level it as long as the draft order is VAN before BUF; make it conditional.
* The new Reinhardt deal is the major factor too. It has to be = or less than BB's deal in place esp w/ QH-EP needing new deals and expansion looming.

I write for an hour and that's it! ha ha
Is it US$6.1Mil then?

Anyway, I know that...
I'll adjust for the purpose of re-iterating the point from VANs side in order to make the orig deal GG posted work == > RFA S.R's next contract has to be "close" to BB as per next years impt. 2-signings or VAN will likely throw in a higher paid piece of deadwood than Sven B (like say Sutter, Roussel, Beagle, Ferland yada yada)...
