I mean, for the 9th and 12th pick? Thats 2 high 1st rounders to get solid pieces to build around Zegras. If we are looking at relative pick value, the 9th and 12th is about 10 points higher than the 5th and 31st pick, and the 3rd evens it out, and thats not even considering how deep the top 20 in this draft is going to be

And Drysdale? He will be an elite defenseman. This is a deep draft so yes, higher picks have way higher value
I wouldn't be surprised if Bob Murray rejects instantly

I'm hopefull we don't have to retain on Maatta. His buyout is less than that.

We can afford it so we might as well sweeten the deal for WPG. Retaining salary would end in 2 seasons while a buyout would extend out longer i believe

kings don't need another RH defenseman anyway.
Even if Drysdale got taken this is a hilarious offer for them. They wouldn't even look at it

I would rather have 9 and 12 than 5 and 31.

I just explained to you why it isnt a hilarious offer, and what other RH defensemen do they have for the future? Their only plus defensive prospect is Bjornfot who is LHD. Drysdale would instantly become their best defensive prospect either way and is more likely due to their surplus of offensive talent in the pipeline, and Drysdale is closer to being NHL ready than any other forward prospect they would take there, after all why wouldnt they take him? You said he was going to be elite. You dont just pass that up

If we keep 5, there's at least two guys I wouldn't even consider taking Drysdale over, and another that could probably go either way

Sean Durzi. Kale Clague who is suppose to be really good. Mikey Anderson, Jacob Moverare , Cole Hults and Jordan Spence.

none of them project to be anywhere near where Drysdale is though. Their forward pipeline is a lot deeper with guys like Turcotte, Madden, kaliyev, Kupari, Fagemo, along with already having guys up like Vilardi and Lizotte

Ducks give you the bird unless you throw in DeBrincat which won’t happen so no.
